Ana Filipa Silva, a PhD candidate in the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, will present her Thesis Plan Proposal on 25th October 2024. The research, titled “Transformation of the Private Label Product Development through the Leagile Paradigm,” focuses on enhancing the efficiency of private label product development in a Portuguese retail chain through the Leagile paradigm, a hybrid of Lean and Agile methodologies.
The study addresses how businesses must adapt their strategies and processes to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology and market conditions. It aims to streamline product development, ensuring faster market launches and improved product quality.
This research, conducted in collaboration with Jerónimo Martins, emphasizes its real-world application in a corporate setting. Ana Filipa’s work will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Ana Sofia Matos (DEMI), Prof. Dr. André Carvalho (DEMI), and Dr. Giuliana Veronese (Jerónimo Martins).
