On November 26, 2024, at 2:30 PM, PhD candidate Maria Rosilene Sabino from the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering will present her Thesis Plan Proposal in Meeting Room 4.32, Building VIII

Entitled “Open and Sustainable Innovation Strategy in the Port Ecosystem: A Comparative Case Study of the Portuguese Maritime Ports”, Sabino’s research aims to explore how innovation strategies can be sustainably applied to promote development and efficiency in Portuguese ports. This comparative study seeks to identify innovative practices and policies that contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of the Portuguese port sector, essential to the nation’s trade and economy.
The thesis is supervised by Prof. Dr. Maria Rosário Cabrita (NOVA FCT), with co-supervision by Prof. Dr. Tiago Pinho (IPS) and Prof. Dr. Ana de Jesus Mendes (IPS). The event is an opportunity for colleagues and others interested in industrial engineering and sustainable innovation to gain insights into the key aspects of this research and contribute questions and suggestions that may enrich the thesis development.
