Field: Mechanical Engineering

Mandatory Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by a Portuguese university, with a
GPA ≥ 15/20.
- Enrollment in a PhD program or a non-degree course (costs covered by the candidate).
- For non-residents in Portugal: a declaration ensuring residency by the start date.
Preferred Factors:
- Knowledge/experience in WAAM (Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing).
- Experience in equipment control and instrumentation applied to WAAM.
- Skills in data acquisition and processing.
Work Plan:
- Production and characterization of WAAM components.
- Validation of sensors and mechanical/microstructural analysis.
- Development of algorithms (Machine Learning) for data processing.
- Writing scientific papers and technical documentation.
