IDeaS Lab
At the Intelligent Decision Support Systems (IDeaS Lab) Laboratory, we are dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research and developing innovative solutions to improve decision-making processes in real-world organizations and systems.
This laboratory provides support for the development of decision-making methodologies, models, and algorithms. Using advanced technologies (e.g., Chatbots and Virtual Reality), computational methodologies (e.g., advanced data analytics, AI, knowledge engineering, knowledge extraction algorithms, and fuzzy logic), simulation models (e.g., discrete event and agent-based simulation), and different mathematical methods (e.g., linear programming and MCDM/MADM/MODM), we aim to design and implement decision-support systems.
We place significant emphasis on industrial engineering and management, covering multiple core areas such as manufacturing & process control, service operations, logistics, decision-support systems, supply chain management, project management, and information systems, but also extend its integration with multidisciplinary topics such as additive manufacturing, technology readiness and maturity assessment of organizations, resilience and sustainability. Our work spans four key mission topics: Technologies, Health, Climate Change, and People. With a commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering real-world impact, IDeaS Lab is at the forefront of shaping a more sustainable and resilient future, harnessing the power of science and innovation to better society and the planet.
