The main objective of the project is to investigate and develop a monitoring system for detecting and quantifying internal leaks from industrial valves.
The system will consist of a customized acoustic emission probe that allows leak detection through non-intrusive/destructive means and a data post-processing system for predicting and quantifying leaks through a machine learning algorithm. Additionally, the project will incorporate a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate the environmental and economic impacts of the proposed solution, ensuring its sustainability and efficiency for the industrial sector.
